Susan E. Vieregge, Nursery Coordinator
Susan
is the Nursery Coordinator for Bethel United Methodist Church. She and
her husband, Tim, are the parents of three children! Susan confides
that she was an "Easter and Christmas" Christian early in her life
until she became a mother. Her first child, who has autism, caused
Susan to reevaluate her life and her walk with God. "Becoming the
mother of a colicky, autistic baby taught me that you can't do
everything yourself. I changed not only my priorities but my
relationship with God. I knew that such a beautiful baby could not have
been an accident of nature but a wonderful gift from God."
Before becoming a mother, Susan was definitely on the fast track to career success in the computer field. She used her computer skills honed by a four-year stint in the Army, a BS Degree in Computer Science, and numerous positions with prestigious Washington area technology firms and a job with NATO in Brussels, Belgium to identify herself as a "charge-ahead career woman."
Now Susan identifies herself as a "mother and active Christian."
Susan's role in life has become "to develop a better understanding of what it means to be a Christian while continuing to enjoy all of the blessings God has bestowed upon me."
The Bethel Congregation feels confident that the Nursery Department of Bethel United Church is in the best hands.
