Our Associate Pastor, Lemuel Pearsall
Pastor
Pearsall is a native of Prince William County, Virginia. He was born in
Fairfax Hospital. He attended Minnieville Pre-School, Evangel Baptist
School, Bel Air Elementary School, Godwin Middle School, and is a
graduate of Gar-Field High School. He earned a Bachelor of Arts from
Christopher Newport University, and a Masters of Divinity at Wesley
Theological Seminary.
Being a native of Virginia, Pastor Pearsall has built many relationships and is well known in the community. He participates in many organizations such as:
* United States Army Chaplaincy Program
* Prince William County Fire and Rescue Program
* George Washington Hospital Chaplain Program
* Fredericksburg/NCA Emmaus Community
* Fellowship of Christian Athletes Program
* Prince William Free Clinic
Pastor Pearsall first came to Bethel UMC in 2004 as a Pastoral Ministry Intern. After graduating from Wesley Theological Seminary in 2006, he was appointed to Bethel as the Associate Pastor where he witnesses:
…Jesus! The name that charms our fears, that bids our sorrows cease;…‘tis life, and health, and peace… (Charles Welsey, O For a Thousand Tongues to Sing v.3, 1739).
This hymn of Charles Wesley reminds Pastor Pearsall that believing in Jesus calms our fears, gives us strength to persevere, eternal life, and peace.
